They said because we paid the $1k with a gift certificate ( which was bought from them for $1k). We were promised a $634 refund, but it never has been provided. While they stopped the leak it still had a hissing noise. Ultimately someone came, I think their handyman and couldn’t fix it. The next day got ruined too because we altered our plans for the plumber to come and anxiously hoping it would be fixed. This was all very upsetting and ruined our trip. AND there was no shut off to the tub, without shutting off all the water - pretty sure that’s a code violation. Our plans were ruined and we couldn’t relax and the water was terribly noisy and we couldn’t sleep. A plumber never came, and our evening was ruined. We were assured it wasn’t noisy and a plumber would be out to fix it that evening. We were concerned because the tub was in the bedroom and it could be noisy. When we arrived at check-in, after a 2+ hour drive, we had to wait a bit, and while checking in we were told the jetted tub had a very slight leak, and wasn’t useable. We were so excited to finally get there on Nov 4. We also had pre-paid $1000 of the almost $1268 bill by using a gift certificate bought from them in 2019, but due to COVID had to reschedule. We specifically chose that accommodation for its privacy and because it had a jetted tub, this was very important to us. We booked the Creekside Cottage, which with tax and all was about $634 per night. My wife and I stayed at the Candelight Inn on Nov. Second day, we had fruit, muffins and scones, and am egg frittata. First day we had a cup oranges and grapefruit, banana pancakes with Carmel syrup, and last we a quiche. I wish I took photos but did t have my phone with me. Cheese and salami was provided and could help yourself to use the communal fridge. We were given a glass of wine upon check in. Other than that, the room was very clean, bedding was so soft, we had a decent size patio the looked over the backyard/pool. I ended up calling the number to the inn so that we can be let in and check into our room. I did this twice and no one opened the door. One minor thing I do want to point out, upon arrival you are to ring their doorbell and hold it down and the innkeeper will let you in. Location in literally 2 minutes from Napa downtown. The room looked just like the photos shown on the website. We stayed for 2 nights in the Lady Brittany room. ![]() My husband and I had the most amazing stay.
